#FollowtheLite September Feature: Filipe E. Oliveira

Follow the LiteLiteWork Events originated as a vision to create an Urban Socialite Network in Boston. What better way to build on this vision than to highlight some of Boston’s most dynamic urban young professionals and socialites! Check out our latest feature, and hopefully you’ll also catch up with them at our next event!

Name: Filipe E. OliveiraFilipe Oliveira

Where are you from? My ethnic background is Cape Verdean but I was born at Lisbon, Portugal. I moved to U.S. at tender age of 1 and grew up on Percival street in Dorchester, right off of Bowdoin Street.

Alma Mater? I attended Bunker Hill Community College (Associates/Business), Northeastern University (Bachelors/Finance) and Boston University (Masters/Banking)

What brings you to Boston? I grew up in Dorchester and I still have strong ties to the neighborhood and city.

Tell us about yourself (What are you passionate about? Any side hustles?): Well, I have a layered life. A lot of experiences and adventures! I am really passionate about being an entrepreneur. I discovered my talents for branding and marketing after launching Percival Beer Company. I also wanted to showcase that ethnic entrepreneurs can develop and mass produce viable commercial products. Currently, I am working on expanding the business, including building a microbrewery. My next brand will be The Hip Hop IPA, which is set for release this Fall. Besides being an entrepreneur, I also work in the Financial Services sector. I hold a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Master’s in Banking.

What’s one thing we should know about you? I am an avid listener of Opera Arias and Classical music. I grew up with hip hop, but found peace with classical music. Another thing folks don’t know about me is that I was in the U.S. Marines, 6 years, Infantry.

How can people connect with you? Best contact is percivalbeercompany@gmail or through my updated website, www.percivalbeercompany.com.

And there you have it folks… #followthelite!
