Where are you from? Boston, Ma
Alma Mater? Simmons College, BS and Columbia University, MPA
What brings you to Boston? I was born and raised in this lovely city. I moved away for my Master’s at Columbia but wanted to come back home and serve communities I love. When I received a great opportunity to marry my studies at Columbia and serve the community, I jumped at it. I’m currently working for the City of Boston on violence intervention and prevention initiatives and city-wide programming.
Tell us about yourself (What are you passionate about? Any side hustles?): I’m passionate about how we, as minorities, can continue to break down barriers and shatter glass ceilings. I’m passionate about travel- trying to complete 50 countries by 50! Having parents from the Caribbean, food is also a huge way to unify people lol I’m also passionate about all things carnival- the history and culture of it is so important. As for side hustles- I have something in the pipeline but I can’t share just yet 🙂
What’s one thing we should know about you? Family is my anchor (family is blood of course but also friends who have become family)
