Follow the Lite

LiteWork Events originated as a vision to create an Urban Socialite Network in Boston. What better way to build on this vision than to highlight some of Boston’s most dynamic urban young professionals and socialites! Check out our latest feature, and hopefully you’ll also catch up with them at our next event!

Name: Chimel Idiokitas, also known as ReaL P.Chimel Idiokitas

Where are you from? Born in Houston, but raised in the heart of Boston, Roxbury.

Alma Mater? Graduate of both Latin Academy & UMass Amherst… THE ZOO!!

What brings you to Boston?

I have been here my whole life and I feel rooted with the culture of arts and music.

Tell us about yourself (What are you passionate about? Any side hustles?)

I am very passionate about my family. I am the youngest of 6 boys, so I grew up in a tight knit household where we learned essential values of being a man. I am passing on those values to my 6 year old son.

By day I’m the Director of Community Outreach & Programming at Boston University, but in terms of hustles, I have plenty. I am a DJ, lyricist, engineer, and party planner. I am also the co-founder of Famous Nobodies, the Hip-Hop collective that includes myself, Chris Brook, and Dutch ReBelle.

What’s one thing we should know about you?

I am addicted to collecting classic vinyls. There’s something about listening to music on vinyls that gives me a nostalgic feeling. It always reminds me of waking up on Saturday mornings.
